Kodak Drive Lens

Twice as effective as standard reflection free lenses.

  • Significantly less glare from oncoming vehicles, traffic and street lights
  • Details exposed to glare can be seen better
  • Improved colour and contrast perception

During the day, KODAK Lens performs as well as a standard reflection free lens, but at night the performance is improved twofold compared to the standard reflection free lens.
KODAK Drive Lenses are particularly suited to motorists as they offer significantly less glare from oncoming vehicle, traffic and street lights. Light sources are seen clearer and reflecting objects keep their sharp contours, meaning levels of glare are reduced.

Staff Changes

We would like to welcome our newest team member Lauren, who has joined us as a customer service apprentice / trainee optical receptionist. Lauren is replacing Sally who has left us to pursue a new career with the emergency services. We wish Sally the best of luck.

Oxfordshire Minor Eye Conditions Service

If you have a recent onset problem with your eyes such as those listed below, then this service may be able to assess and treat you.

The service is funded by the NHS and is available from Patricia Hayselden and Partners, as well as other local opticians throughout Oxfordshire.
Appointments are available within 48 hours (2 working days).

Minor eye conditions that can be treated by the service include:

  • Red eye or eyelids
  • Dry, gritty, irritable and uncomfortable eyes
  • Significant recent sticky or watery discharge from the eye
  • Recently occurring flashes and/or floaters
  • Painful eye including pain with bright lights
  • Ingrowing eyelashes
  • Recent and sudden change in vision
  • Foreign body in the eye
  • Unusual eye appearance (lumps and bumps)

NOTE: This Minor Eye Conditions service is for sudden onset problems and not for major, prolonged eye conditions such as cataracts, diabetic retinopathy or glaucoma.

If you are registered with an Oxfordshire GP and over age 6, you can use the service. To make an appointment, call us on 01491 835466 or come into reception. You will be asked some questions about your symptoms in order to assess if you are suitable and how quickly you need to be seen by this MECS service, which will be within 5 working days or sooner if possible.

Please note that this is not an eyesight test. Some eye conditions are better suited to immediate referral to eye casualty – please ask your optometrist, pharmacist or GP if unsure. Others may simply need a routine complete eye examination
